Please Invest in the Lanikai Park Pavilion: Lanikai Park
is owned and operated by the Lanikai Community Association, a non-profit organization
who’s Directors, Officers and members are volunteers. It is a deep sense of community which keeps Lanikai Park and its facilities open for
everyone to enjoy. We still have quite a way to go to pay the mortgage on the new pavilion!!
Lanikai Park and its Pavilion are used by many members of our community, both young and old, on a daily basis. Sports include soccer, volleyball and basketball, and of course, the Park is headquarters for the 2008 State Champion Lanikai Canoe Club. The playground is almost always crowded with moms, dads and kids, family picnics, dogs on a walk. Our park is very well used!  Pavilion Before Renovation The Pavilion is in need of a complete renovation. The last 50 years of continuous use have taken their toll. The building footprint will remain the same, with the addition of a new exterior lanai. The renovated space will offer multiple use options including family gatherings, community meetings, the Lanikai Mortgage Players productions, Honolulu Theater for Youth performances, and more. It is likely that the new facility will bring in additional educational and informative programming for our community. Anything is possible with an attractive space.
The
facilities at the park are available for rent for families and groups for
birthday parties, weddings, and other celebrations. With a renovated facility, it is anticipated
that the revenues will increase, allowing the Lanikai Association to do more
good work in our community; maintaining the Park and its facilities with
continued capital improvements benefiting us all.  Pavilion After Renovation The Lanikai Association is committed to the protection and enrichment of the traditional quality of life in Lanikai, and the preservation of its heritage and natural beauty through education, community activities and advocacy. We need to advocate for this facility as it will allow us to fulfill our mission in a very meaningful way. It is what Lanikai is all about…..family, community, friendship.
